To nominate a business or invididual please click on the Nominate tab on the navigation bar, or on the Nominate Now button on the homepage. Nominations have closed for this year’s Ribble Valley Business Awards.

I've been nominated! What happens next?

We will be in contact with you to get a few more details then we’ll send you an Entry Form to fill in and a 2017 Nominee Logo. If we’ve already got your email address from past year’s nominations you’ll hear from us soon. If we haven’t got your email address and you’re on Facebook it’s likely we’ll contact you via Facebook Message so do please look out for any contact from us. Once the form has been submitted to us you will be officially entered into the awards. Nominations close on 31 August, completed entry forms must be received by 7 September.

Who can I nominate?

Any businesses located within the Ribble Valley can be nominated for the Beacon Award or for Customer Friendly Business. Any individuals who live or groups who operate within the Ribble Valley can be nominated for Pride of Ribble Valley.

How many businesses can I nominate?

Please nominate as many businesses as you like, the more the merrier! To nominate again, just refresh / reload the Nomination page after nominating.

Why can I only choose to nominate for The Beacon Award, Customer Friendly Business and Pride of Ribble Valley?

To keep things simple! Once businesses have been nominated they can decide which award categories to enter. Businesses can nominate themselves for the Beacon Award but need to be nominated by customers for the Customer Friendly Business award.

What is the Pride of Ribble Valley Award for?

The Pride of Ribble Valley award recognises individuals, groups, clubs, associations, societies and networks who are committed to supporting the Ribble Valley Community.

I live outside of the Ribble Valley, can I nominate a business?

Yes, of course. Nominations can be made by anyone.

How are the entries judged and shortlisted?

Our core panel of judges from across the Ribble Valley will read through all entry forms and decide, collectively, on who should be shortlisted. For each award, the judging panel will also include the sponsor.

When will the shortlisted businesses / finalists be announced?

The shortlisted businesses / finalists for each category will be announced via social media on Thursday 13 September.

How are the winners decided?

A designated Judgement Day will see the judges meet with each sponsor throughout the day to discuss and debate the winner of each category. This information will remain Top Secret until winners are revealed at the awards ceremony.

When does the ceremony take place?

The Ribble Valley Business Awards take place in October, the date and location will be shown on the Home page and on the News page on this site

How do we buy tickets for the Awards Ceremony?

Ticket booking will open once the finalists are announced. Businesses shortlisted for an award automatically get allocated one free ticket to the ceremony. They are then given the option to purchase more if they wish. Priority is given to finalists and sponsors. There may be the option for the general public to attend if the event is not sold out but this is not guaranteed. To buy tickets (once available) please email rob@enterprisingpeople.co.uk

What time will the awards ceremony start?

The doors and bar will normally open at 5.30pm. The meal will be served from 6.30pm and the awards will be presented between 8pm and 10pm. The final award to be presented will be the Beacon Award.
